Why go

A riverside park on the Han River that runs for 8.4km along Yeouido. It is where the Spring Flower Festival and the Seoul International Fireworks Festival are held, and it takes just 1 minute from the subway to reach the heart of the park.

Highlights

History

A long park that follows the river from the Hangang Railway Bridge to Saetgang behind the National Assembly. It has lawn plazas, sports facilities, a summer swimming pool and a yacht marina, and you can rent bikes at three spots: Mapo, Wonhyo Bridge and Yeouinaru. The Seoul city government's Hangang Renaissance project added Mulbit (Water Light) Plaza and a floating stage.

Tips

  • Come out of Exit 2 or 3 of Yeouinaru Station on Line 5, and you are in the heart of the park in 1 minute. The elevator is near Exit 2.
  • On weekends and public holidays the park is crowded with events, so come by subway. Parking outside designated areas brings a fine of 50,000 won.
  • Fishing is banned throughout the park, and pets must be kept on a leash.
