Banpo Hangang Park

Home of the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain on Banpo Bridge.

Ttareungi (Seoul bike-share)

Day pass: ₩1,000 (1 hour) or ₩2,000 (2 hours)
Ride as often as you like that day, each ride up to 1 or 2 hours. Going over costs ₩200 per extra 5 minutes.
Sign-up — no Korean number needed
The app's main screen has a Foreigner entry: pick a rental pass, pay with a foreign card and register an email. No Korean phone and no identity check — that step belongs to the resident path (registering a T-money card). Source: Seoul Metropolitan Government, published 2023-11-06, read 2026-09-20.
Where to grab one
Ttareungi stations are spread across Seoul, including the Hangang parks. Scan the QR code on the bike with the app.
Return anywhere
Return at any Ttareungi station — they're interchangeable.
Wear a helmet
Korea's Road Traffic Act (Art. 50(4)) requires bicycle riders to wear a helmet. Bring your own.
After-dark cycling
Stay in the bike lane and slow down near park entrances — they get busy in the evening.

The 5-step Hangang picnic

  1. 1
    Step 1 — bring or buy a mat
    Convenience stores near the parks usually sell picnic mats. Take it home with you.
  2. 2
    Step 2 — order delivery to the park
    Put the park entrance (or a marked delivery spot, where there is one) in Baemin / Coupang Eats / Yogiyo and meet the rider there. Use our concierge if app sign-up fails.

    Step 3 — grab cold drinks at the conv. store
    Beer, soju, makgeolli and soft drinks are sold at convenience stores by the parks. Drink responsibly and follow posted park rules.

    Step 4 — find a flat spot away from the path
    Avoid bike-path edges. Most regulars set up 5–10m off the trail.
  5. 5
    Step 5 — take your trash out
    Sort plastic / cans / general waste at the park bins. Mats go home with you.

Hangang Bus (river water bus)

Seoul's water bus stops at wharves including Yeouido, Ttukseom and Mangwon. Tap a T-money-linked card, or buy at the wharf ticket machine (card only). Timetable: hgbus.co.kr.

Outdoor pools (summer)

2026: Jun 19 – Aug 30. Pools at Ttukseom and Yeouido (adult ₩5,000); water-play areas at Jamsil, Gwangnaru, Nanji and Yanghwa (adult ₩3,000). Under 6 free. Jamwon pool is closed for rebuilding.

Summer night swims

In 2026 the pools and water-play areas stayed open until 22:00 from Jul 3 (Gwangnaru and Yanghwa close at 18:00). Weather warnings close them.
