Point your camera, get plain English

Subway warning signs, pharmacy boxes, food labels, parking receipts — SeoulTrip reads, translates, and tells you what to do.

About this tool

Scan reads a photo of something written in Korean and explains it in plain English. It handles four kinds: signs and notices, medicine boxes, receipts, and food or product labels.

How to use it

  1. Choose what you are scanning: a sign, medicine, a receipt or a product.
  2. Take or upload a clear photo in good light, with the text filling most of the frame.
  3. Read the translation and the extra details for that kind, such as dosage, allergens or tax-refund eligibility.

Good to know

  • The result is machine-generated. For medicine, confirm the dose with a pharmacist, because one misread character can change the meaning.
  • The photo is sent to an AI service to be read (Cloudflare Workers AI by default, Google Gemini for medicine scans) and SeoulTrip keeps no copy. Avoid photographing faces or documents that show personal numbers.
