Most flexible, least cheap. Rental sizing line can be slow on peak weekends — arrive before 09:00.

韓國滑雪文化+禮儀

  • Rental sizing in cm / mondoBoots are sized in mondopoint (cm). Skis/boards by height. Know your height in cm + foot length in cm before the counter — staff may not convert from US/EU sizes.
  • Lockers + the 보관함 systemRent a locker (보관함) for shoes + bags — most are coin/card lockers near the rental shop. Keep your locker number; lost-key fees are steep.
  • Mountain-restaurant pricingOn-slope restaurants are pricey (₩12–18k a dish). Eat at the base lodge, or bring snacks. Convenience stores at the base are cheaper.
  • Lift tickets are RFID cardsTickets are RFID cards on a deposit (~₩2,000, refunded on return). Keep the card in your left jacket pocket — gates scan that side.
  • Slope colors run easy→hardKorean slopes grade by color/name, not the global green-blue-black system. Ask staff or check the English map; "초급" = beginner, "중급" = intermediate, "상급" = advanced.
  • Clothing rental existsYou can rent a full ski jacket + pants set (₩15–25k/day) — handy if you flew in without snow gear. Bundle packages often include it.
  • Night skiing is huge in KoreaMost resorts run lifts until 22:00–04:30 in sessions. Night sessions are cheaper and less crowded — a Korea-specific perk worth using.
  • Book English lessons aheadEnglish ski/board lessons exist only at a few resorts (Yongpyeong, Phoenix, Vivaldi, Konjiam) and sell out — reserve before arrival, not at the desk.
