History

The Incheon Open Port Museum (仁川開港博物館) building was built in 1899 as the Incheon branch of the First Bank of Japan. It served as the Incheon branch of the Bank of Chosen and then of the Bank of Korea before becoming a museum in 2010. It is a late-Renaissance-style stone building with a dome in the center, and is Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 7.
