History

It is a transport hub where Gangnam-daero, running north to south, meets Teheran-ro to the east, so the areas around the station exits are crowded on weekday evenings and weekends. Over 2 years, Gangnam-gu redid the stretch of about 760m from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station to Exit 5 of Sinnonhyeon Station as a street that is pleasant to walk.

  • At the Seocho Traveler Support Center near Exits 9 and 10 of Gangnam Station (10:00–21:00), you can get directions in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese, and free maps.
  • Seoul My Soul Shop, the official Seoul city souvenir store, is in the underground mall near Exit 2 of Gangnam Station (13:00–22:00, closed on the days of Seollal and Chuseok).
