KTX, SRT, express bus, or budget air — what to pick, how to book with a foreign card, and the luggage tricks that make multi-city trips painless.

Pick your mode

KTX 고속철도

Best for: Fastest Seoul↔Busan (~2h40). Frequent. Seoul Station / Yongsan.

Book: Korail "Let's Korail" app or letskorail.com — accepts most foreign cards. Reserve seats in advance for weekends.

SRT 수서고속철도

Best for: Like KTX but from Suseong (Gangnam side). Often slightly cheaper.

Book: SRT app / etk.srail.kr.

Express & intercity bus

Best for: Cheapest; reaches towns trains skip. Comfortable "udeung" seats.

Book: Kobus / Bustago apps, or pay at the terminal. Cash always works.

Budget air

Best for: Worth it for Jeju and far corners. GMP/ICN ↔ CJU/PUS.

Book: Jeju Air, Jin Air, T'way via the airline site or an OTA with a foreign card.

Korail Pass

Foreigner-only rail pass (2/3/4/5-day, flexible). Worth it for 3+ KTX legs. Buy before arrival. check price

Luggage delivery

Hotel-to-hotel or airport luggage services let you travel hands-free between cities. Ask your hotel concierge.

Coin lockers

Major stations have lockers (T-money or card). Big ones fill on weekends — arrive early.
