You just landed in Korea.

Get connected before you leave the airport. An eSIM bought in advance is usually installed by scanning a QR code — do that while you still have Wi-Fi, then switch it on after landing.

  Roaming counters in the ICN T1 arrival hall; one area near Arrival Hall F is open 24 h. Ask there if you need a Korean phone number.

Two practical set-ups for visitors: (a) a T-money transit card plus your own bank card for purchases, or (b) WOWPASS — a prepaid card you can top up with foreign cash that also works as a transit card.

• T-money card
  Sold at convenience stores; the card price depends on the design and is not refundable. Top it up with cash. Leftover balance can be refunded later for a ₩500 fee. Works on subways, buses and taxis that take transit cards.
• WOWPASS
  Top up with cash in 16 currencies at WOWPASS machines, or in the app with an international card. Also works as a transit card. One-time ₩6,000 sign-up fee (WOWPASS FAQ).
• Cash backup
  Withdraw some won at an airport ATM that takes foreign cards — some small shops and stalls prefer cash.

From ICN there are three main options. From GMP, subway Lines 5 and 9 and AREX leave from the airport's own station.

• AREX Express train
  Non-stop to Seoul Station: 43 min from T1 (51 from T2), ₩13,000. The station is on B1 of the Transportation Center.
• Airport limousine bus 6001/6015
  ₩17,000 (adult) to stops in central Seoul — easy with heavy bags, but journey time depends on traffic.
• Airport taxi (stand or app)
  Metered from the official taxi stands; tolls and a late-night surcharge are added. International Taxi (English-speaking drivers) charges fixed zone fares from ₩70,000 to Seoul and is booked in advance.

Not every driver reads English. Type your hotel name → get a full-screen Hangul card with romanization and a KakaoMap QR the driver can scan.

A menu may not list allergens. Use the translator before you order — set your allergies + spice tolerance once, then photograph any menu. SeoulTrip flags dishes that don't fit your profile.
