How to use Naver Map as a foreigner

  1. 1. Install + switch language. Download NAVER Map (App Store / Google Play) and set the app language to English, 中文 or 日本語 in settings.
  2. 2. Check hours on the place page. Hours and closing days change — we only list them where the venue or an official tourism site publishes them.
  3. 3. Tap "BE LOCAL". Shown when the app language is foreign: places Korean users in their 20s–30s have recently saved.
  4. 4. Use Naver (or KakaoMap) for local search. Small Korean shops are often easier to find there than on Google Maps. Google is still handy for route previews.
