Most of what people travel to Korea to do is seasonal or ticketed, so planning beats wandering. Cherry blossom festivals run from late March into early April: in 2026 Jinhae's ran from 27 March to 5 April and Seoul's Yeouido festival from 3 to 7 April. Concert tickets are the other thing to sort out before you fly. Foreign fans buy through the global sites of NOL World (formerly Interpark Global), Melon Ticket and YES24, which take an e-mail sign-up, passport verification and cards issued outside Korea, and the same guide covers fan-club pre-sales and music-show packages. A temple stay is easier than its reputation suggests: the official English portal, eng.templestay.com, lists every temple's programs and prices, and several temples run day programs that need no overnight stay at all. Whatever the activity, book the dated part first and fill the rest of the day around it.
